To strike the best balance between maintaining the natural features and ecosystems within the park while providing critical community amenities for the Highland Park neighborhood, studio 16:19 worked to validate the original park master plan and bring each element to life through final design and construction. Phase 1 consists of traditional and nature play elements, along with a small amphitheater, pre-fabricated restroom facility, a large parking lot, veloway, and trails with practice fields. Phase 2 includes a parking lot, pre-fabricated restroom facility, a quarter-mile of trail, dog park, and nature play area.
