ARCHITECTURE
At studio 16:19, we see landscape architecture as the marriage of natural and built environments throughout a project’s process. Hardscape and constructed elements provide the backbone for a design and natural landscape elements complement and complete the design. The resolve of these two enhance natural landforms, develop focal elements, and provide functionality to the design on every site. Our designers live out these principles and strive for an end product that upon completion is a true merging of the natural and built environments on every site we impact.
PLANNING
At studio 16:19, our conceptual work and due diligence set the tone at the start of a project. By researching existing entitlements and site constraints through an extensive site analysis process, and addressing market conditions, we will produce a land or site plan, conceptual illustrations, and a quantifiable development program for a tract of land. We have experience meeting with municipalities and gaining necessary rezoning, obtaining neighborhood approvals, and negotiating Planned Unit Developments of various scales.
IRRIGATION DESIGN
At studio 16:19, we understand that while 71% of the Earth’s surface is water, it is also a premium resource and – living in Texas – we have firsthand knowledge of how limited that resource can be. We strive to create sustainable environments by designing irrigation systems responsibly and utilizing them in order to conserve as much of this precious resource as possible. By specifying and designing drip irrigation methods, smart water technology, and rainwater harvesting systems for our clients, we can impact our communities with beautiful and resource-efficient landscape solutions, all while supporting responsible water conservation methods.
BRANDING AND SIGNAGE
At studio 16:19, we work with private developers and municipalities throughout Central Texas to plan and design meaningful lifestyle and retail projects that become an integral part of the communities they serve. From brand development to multi-tenant pylons to city- or park-wide wayfinding signage, studio 16:19 has continued to develop a reputation for understanding clients’ needs during the branding and signage design process. Our success with this philosophy has provided us with project experiences that continue to expand our knowledge and understanding of wayfinding for the client.
