studio 16:19 worked with the architecture and client teams to address challenges from the previous campus such as implementing two age-appropriate playgrounds, low-maintenance landscape, and outdoor learning areas that allow for year-long use.
To replace the original 1972 school building, studio 16:19 worked with Pfluger Architects to design a state-of-the-art campus that includes outdoor learning environments, play areas, and native landscapes that are irrigated via collected condensate water. Many of the features included in the design of the new school address the challenges experienced while operating the former campus.
