Texas Baptist Children's Home

Round Rock, TX

PROJECT

Studio 16:19 was approached by our neighbors at Children at Heart Ministries here in Round Rock to prepare a Signage Master Plan document for the Texas Baptist Children’s Home. This plan consisted of a current inventory of exiting signage types, develop a master plan for future signage development to complement existing traffic patterns and campus destinations, and a redesign of their current sign inventory to propose a hierarchy throughout the campus both visually and thematically.

After development of the Master Plan and a fundraising campaign, the first and most prominent sign type addressed was the Landmark Sign at the highly visible corner of Highway 79 and North Mays. The existing signage completed in the 1950s and updated in the 80s and was in dire condition needing removal.  In close coordination with CAHM President, Todd Roberson, and former Vice President for Mission Advancement, Dawson Clark, Studio 16:19 designed a re-envisioned Landmark Sign which incorporated materials and architectural details from the surrounding campus and the recently designed rebrand.
