Connecting two of Round Rock’s most popular destinations, Round Rock West Park and Centennial Plaza, this City transportation project consists of the design of a roughly three-mile section of 10’ wide trail including three independent trail head nodes along Lake Creek, due west of Downtown Round Rock. Working closely with the design engineer, Studio 16:19 assisted in development of the preliminary alignment of the trail which features several challenging conflict points including an underpass at the Union Pacific Railroad and a narrow clearance for the trail section to pass under IH-35. Final design included wayfinding graphics, specialty paving schemes, and various seating opportunities as part of the community trail heads.
